Manhattan Beach Pier

The day I painted the Manhattan Beach Pier was so gloomy I almost packed up and went home. I’m so glad I didn’t leave because as the fog lifted, the Sun peaked out and lit up the water. A young couple came down to the beach and found their way into the foreground. It didn’t take much convincing for them to pose as models for this painting.
